"When-sa your Dolmio day?" "What! You have one? Lazy fecker."

Ahh Dolmio, you're some cheeky feckers dya know that?!

You have presented us with a view that Italians eat Dolmio products. Like feck they do. Read the following, and see if it seems somewhat, unrealistic...!

The healthy, tanned, Italian children race into the kitchen.

"Mamma, Papa, what is for dinner(a)?"

"Tonight Georgio, we are having microwaveable fusilli, with-a microwaveable tomato sauce-a, just like-a Grandma used to make."

"It is contain-ed in(a) plastic bags. You zap(a) the processed ingredients for(a) 45 seconds at 750w, and then you have a beautiful nutritious meal."

Hmmm.

What they should really have is the truthful scenario. Otherwise it's false advertising, right? Right.

Ok, Dolmio! This is where your products are really headed. But I feel the chances of this showing up on TV are, well, fairly limited.

Two pasty Irish children storm into the kitchen.

"Dad. DAD! What are we havin' fer dinner?"

"Ah Jaysus Seán, sure I'm after just gettin in meself, can you just microwave some o' them packets of pasta and tomato sauce? Just don't tell yer Mam! She says that stuff is full of sh*t."

Hit the ground running...

Hi Blog! You're finally heeeere, this is so exciting! It has been so tiresome having all these funny thoughts and observations tracking around my mind. I'm glad we can put them all in one place, neatly and organised and where other people can enjoy them too. Lovely.

I had a lot of trouble trying to find a name for this blog. 'Life on the Bright Side' was taken. So was 'My Life on the Bright Side'. Blogger kept recommending 'A Life on the Bright Side.' I guess it knows best. But I was slightly deflated that my lovely little Blog had a third choice name. Mum came in from the study to find me talking aloud, trying to find some way around it. As Mums always do, she took one look at the situation, and made it better. 'A Life on the Bright Side' is wonderful Ali. Look, the first three letters of your blog name is your name. Mum is brilliant. Now I can show off to people and pretend the whole thing was planned out in the first place.

So there you go. My name is Alison Brown and this is my Blog. And these are some funny observations from a life on the bright side.

Enjoy.
